Awesome photoshop basics session with Laura. REALLY ENJOYED IT!

Aw! Check it out! Sian has made it onto @LydiaLeith’s blog :) I just spotted it now as I was doing my Jubilee corgi round-up post.

So, what’s going on here? Well, I was excited to discover via Twitter that Lydia was coming to Chapter’s Car Bootique last weekend with her own Temporary Tattoo Parlour (Sian and I were there with ARK’s story car, I promise I wasn’t stalking her!).

I found Lydia to be as nice in person as her tattoos are, and I was honoured to introduce her to her first corgi! Folks, I urge you all to indulge in a small degree of jubilee fever and go get something from Lydia’s shop - even the thank-you card she sends are a joy!

Hello weather! The weather has never been a subject of much interest to me until now. (via happiness is…)

The Lothar Götz exhibition, Wait Until Dark which is currently @Chaptertweets is a must-see for colour-lovers and fans of geometric design. I loved it. All.

I was very proud to become a TANt Associate on Friday, as I co-presented issue #0.3 = #0.1Cymraeg of TANt as part of a World Book Day event at Chapter.

The issue essentially comprised a presentation of my interpretation of the platform, in Welsh. And what, pray tell, is my interpretation..?
Well;

TANt is a decentralised network and platform for independent voices.
It is an experiment in form and believes that discussion & reading are valid modes of production. So, it follows that discussion events are also issues of TANt. TANt seeks to explore ideas around collaboration, and naturally through this notion ideas around translation, interpretation and meaning are also explored. TANt is multi-lingual, already having produced issues in English and Japanese, and now Welsh.

Far more that simply being a publication of interesting ideas, TANt is forming a network of thinkers and participators in the production of ideas. Something that I am very proud to be a part of.

This is also very much on the list of things to do when I have some time.

Wash day in Splott (by Splott Online)

Love this idea of mapping London’s lesser-known design gems. Maybe @thinkark could do a similar exercise in Cardiff? (AFTER PlayARK that is)

Michael, Rowena, Euros and I popped along to the museum to have a look at the new Contemporary Art galleries on Saturday. You should go too! I found a number of the works interesting/engaging/inspiring and came out with a bunch of notes to further investigate a number of the artists/works. What more can you ask?!
